Just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for everyone. Obviously proactiv works for some people me being one of them and I have tried many products. I had at least 5-10 deep huge painful pimples plus black heads and white heads all the time.

Accutane treats acne for a longer period of time but since acne is caused by hormones it doesn’t cure acne and it has really horrible side effects.

I feel the same way. I used proactive and hardly nothing changed on my skin for the first few months, but of course the product might work for others but it didn’t for me . This jerk as school keeps on telling me “Use Proactive!” and crap to me. It can be annoying since he is ignorant to the fact that I used it before and unfortunately it didn’t work…and yet everyday I’m brought down by that annoying pest.

I first tried proactiv when I was 17 and it worked well for about a year.

After that it was like my skin became immune to it and my breakouts were back and worse than ever. I stopped using the product and went to a mile Olay formula which helped.

I am now 21 and after I had my daughter my skin flared up badly. I decided to give proactiv one more try. I never cleared anything, it just made my skin dry, flaky, tight, and sensitive, so I did the recommended thing and reduced my treatment to once daily. I was also using a miosturizer from proactiv during this time. My skin stayed bad.

So I emailed a rep and she said to stop the treatment for a week except for the cleanser and moisturizer at night and then I could begin the system again using the repairing lotion only at night. I followed this precisely.

The dryness improved so I began to use the system as directed. The dryness returned, my breakouts were so bad they began to hurt.

I am so disappointed. They charge 50 bucks for each shipment of a product that is horrible.

I have decided to go to a dermatologist and solve my problems there after all they are professionals, and I will no longer trust my skin to this product that does nothing but strip your skin and cause major discomfort….

Ok I agree with you, but why are you using anything but a simple cleanser in the first place? Proactive has harmful suckish chemicals, yes, but so does every other skin clearing cream out there. Just use warm water and a cleanser! (Also for me, neosporin works wonders! )

I have foind something absolutely wonderful. All natural goat milk soap. It comes in beautiful fragrances and it is all from natural essential oils and goats milk. I use it on my entire body, including face. MY SKIN LOOKS AMAZING. no bumps, no blackheads. just beautiful skin. also i had “chicken skin” on the back of my arms and it is gone. My entire body is smooth and glowing. I am so happy I found this…the he** with proactiv TRY GOATS MILK SOAP!!!

Worked for a month or so…

I thought the stuff was awesome for about the 1st month but in the long run it didnt do the amazing and unbelievable things promised. I do love the mask though. It’s a really good spot treatment and I use it almost every night. You can get it on ebay for $10 with free shipping instead of getting it from the company and waiting a month. A really great product that is totally gentle and wont make you break out is a good old bar of dove exfoliating.

Proactive is extreamly overrated when you use it it barely works and when you stop your skin gets worse.

I totally agree with you. I had used this products on and off for several times. Everytime I would stop using it, My face would just get worse. I’ve heard “It has to get worse before it gets better”. That just didn’t happen for me. Yet, once again, It works differently for everyone.

yeah man they even turn up the volume on their comercials to make you listen more. i fuckin hate that marketing bullshit.

ACNE is not curable!!

you must control all four causes of acne oil,dead skin,bacteria, inflammation. if your skin is dry it will over produce oil starting the acne process again. if it is too oily same thing. with proactiv the 123 is not enough for everyone. some need the daily moisturizer and oil control. others need to add even a couple of more products.

guys i give you one answer …. stop using thoses product and let your skin recover naturally because all those products will heal the pimples but not for a long time and they have side effects so throw everything in the garbage and leave your skin alone if you break out pop the pimples gently and if it hurts leave it but you have to be patent and give it some time and the most important thing stop having sex or playing with your stuff at night

… collect seeds and study plants …

and other herbs\fruits that our grandfathers\mothers know to help for example the Inflammations !!! (and there are a lot of healthy green things, just STUDY.)

Proactiv SUCKS, it’s not worth 2 shits and its a complete waste of money, all it does is make your acne problems worse, DO NOT BUY PROACTIV UNLESS YOU WANT ACNE!!!

Proactiv didn’twork for me.Too harsh on my skin.Caused me to break out even more, supposedly it draws out “toxins”.Tried it when I was 14 and 19.Never again, same thing happened.Proactiv is not for sensitive skin.I am older now and my skin is just fine.All I use is lukewarm water or any organic skin cleanser that’s not foamy.It’s just your hormones, proactiv cannot fix that.Just eat healthier and drink lots of water.I realized I don’t need to use all the crap on my face, esp. if let’s pretend your acne disappeared, why would you continue using it?I know someone that used it that it worked for and that’s the only reason why I tried but for me with sensitive skin?Nope.

The truth is Proactiv is not made for black people. It completely dries out your skin to the point where it burns to wash your face. And yes the Proaciv commercials are rigged because the people on there have had their make up just professionally done to fit the lighting, so yea you’re gonna look acne free.
