Eating Healthy does not cure your acne
by Julie h.

I do agree that it takes more then just eating healthy to have clear skin. I eat VERY HEALTHY and I still have acne. I have eliminated Dairy, wheat, all process sugar and simple carbs out of my diet. I still have acne probably due to stress, poor sleeping habits, unbalance hormones, poor digestion and other factors that I may not know yet. So yes I do agree that acne can not be cured by a quick fix, it takes awhile to balance, and heal yourself.

Good points Julie.
A lot of people don’t realize the importance of other lifestyle factors. They believe that if they just eat healthy they’ll be fine.
I can’t tell you how many emails I’ve gotten from people who have first told me that their skin is still bad despite their almost perfect diet. Then when they make changes in the weak links in their lifestyle their skins start to get better.

Comments on Eating Healthy does not cure your acne
Let’s see if I can clarify things a bit
Though I’ve said eating healthy doesn’t necessarily cure acne it’s still an essential part of the process.
Here’s what I’ve noticed from interacting with Clear for Life customers. Most people see significant improvements on their skin when they put in all the six elements of health. Diet is one of the elements, but it’s just one and that’s why I’ve tried to tell people that diet alone is often not enough.
Once you have your elements of health in place you need to make sure you aren’t eating anything that aggravates your acne. That often means foods you are allergic or sensitive to. It’s important to note that these sensitivities might not produce any visible symptoms. They just create inflammation in the body, which can lead to more acne.
Finally you just have to wait for the healing process to run its course. This can take some time (often months), and can be frustrating if you don’t see big results on your skin. That’s why it’s important to have a support system in place (such as I provide with Clear for Life). You can speed up things by doing an occasional detox. But that’s not mandatory as the body will get rid of toxins even without any specific detoxes.
I’m not vegan or vegetarain, but I understand how fustraiting it is to eat healthy and still have ACNE!!! UGH! It drives me crazy! Although ever since I cut out all dairy, wheat, and gluttin out of my diet, my skin has improved dramaticly. Let me ask you a few questions, and this may help you in elimating your acne. One do you supsect that you have any allergies or food senativities? I resently read a book called Alternative Medicine, the Definitive guide (2nd edition), by John W. Wonderful book, Its talks about how to heal your body through natural foods, herbs, supplements, also it covers naturopathic, chinese, homopathic medinice and more. What I learned was, lets say that you are allergic to a type of food, lets say carrots, but you don’t have an addimently recaction. Its a delay recaction, your body only reconizes “carrots” as a forign pathogeon, so it puts your body under stress, and you have a difficult time digesting, and elimating food. Its so hard to test food allergies, best way is blood work, testing (IgG). Taking samples of your blood and watching the white blood cells recacting to different types of foods. I hope that this makes sense. (Not good at explaining things). My final question is,have you consider doing any sort of cleansing, or detoxing? I know you eat healthy, and this may sound funny, why should I cleans if I’m already eating healthy, right? Well theres toxins everywhere!!! In the air, foods, even our bodies make toxins! Are you ellimating your bowls at least twice a day. Ideally three times a day. I know this sounds gross, and it may be a personal question, but it will help find more answers. Detoxs are wonderful! you should try one!!! Sorry that this has been long I hope that this has been helpful in any sort a way.
I also eat very well and still have acne!!

I recently became a vegan and eat plenty of organic produce… Although before becoming vegam, I was vegetarian for 5 years! My diet habits have only become very clean in the last year. And i have already switched all my dangerous synthetic cosmetics and products to the mos organic and clean ones i could find. Grr… acne is sooo depressing.
“Mommy, whats all over that girls face?”
“Quiet Joe, please.”
“Mommy her face looks dirty.”
Grr.
How do you treat ACNE ROSECEA?
For a long time I have been treating my acne with BP, or SA and gotten some good results. Then I changed my diet, been eating really well and switch to a more gentler cleanser. I have been noticing that my acne continuing improving, but still have it.
So I have done a little reserch ( well a lot actually) and I come across acne roseacea. And I strongly believe that I have acne roseacea, because my skin flairs up when I become stressed put or if I eat certain types of foods.
Does your book mentions anything about acne roseacea. (sorry I don’t know if I’m spelling that right).
Do you know how to treat roseace, I hear its untreatable but I don’t believe nor do I want to give up. I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING WITH ACNE FOR MORE THEN TEN YEARS!!! I’m 24 years old and I’m still trying to find a cure!
I look forward and be greatful of whatever information that you give me. Thank you.
Thanks for your question. I have to say that rosacea is not even mentioned in CFL. The book deals with acne.
That said, as far as I understand, and I have to say I’m not an expert or anything on rosacea, it’s still an inflammatory skin disease. In my opinion it should respond to the same lifestyle changes that help with acne. This is my view on it, but again I have to say that I’m not an expert or have any experience with it.
