Honest And Critical Acne Product Reviews

If you are anything like me you are sick and tired of reading acne product reviews that look like infomercials. Perhaps you would like to see honest and critical reviews. After all, you worked hard for that money.

Dirty Little Secret Of Acne Product Review Sites

Let me tell you a dirty little secret about acne product review sites. Most of them are set up with one, and only one, purpose in mind. To make as much money as possible. Acne happens to be a very profitable topic for internet marketers. That’s why they have set up those sites. Most of them have probably never even had acne – let alone figured out what works and what doesn’t. Points, scores and so-called tests are usually fabricated to make the product that pays the highest commission come on top.

Now for my own dirty little secret. I also want to make some money with this site. Bringing this information for you free costs me both money and enormous amounts of time. It’s time and money I chose to put into this site instead of building my business, because I wanted to share what I have learned with other victims of acne. So if you buy the products I get a small commission (don’t worry, you pay the same price whether I get a commission or not).

My Review Methods

Here’s another ‘confession’. I haven’t tried all the products I’m reviewing here. That’s because I don’t have acne anymore or don’t think that they are very useful. In my opinion reviewing acne products based on personal experience can be misleading. After all, what works for me may not work for you.

Clear Skin Max

Clear Skin Max: My #1 acne treatment recommendation. Click to read the review

My acne product reviews are based on my research and knowledge of the active ingredients, acne, health and natural healing. Based on the active ingredients in a product it’s possible to know if a product will help with acne or not – and to which degree. I also look at acne and health forums to see what other people think about these products.

  • Clear Skin Max review – An interesting and promising new comer to the acne treatment market. Uses only natural ingredients that have been scientifically validated. My number 1 acne treatment recommendation.
  • Acnezine (Acuzine) review – Herbal pill that treats acne from inside out. Gamble, absolute lifesaver for many but not for everybody. Much easier than detox.

  • Exposed acne treatment review – Exposed acne treatment gets glowing customer reviews. But there’s more to it. Find out the good, the bad and the ugly about Exposed acne treatment.

Was wondering if you could do a review on Rawgaia.com acne products, they also use 100% organic ingredients and look very promising, but very expensive.

Jim Witcher @ 8:54 pm #

Hi Mike, good discussion and I like your integrity. My wife and I have a health blog where we only recommend products we have a personal relationship with. We had very good results with a product that worked on our 15 year old son’s acne. It was quite by accident that we discovered this. We are distributors for a company that makes and sells an all natural nrf2 activator. We did some research on inflammation and oxidative stress as it relates to acne and decided to give this product a try for him. The results were impressive, although I am not aware of any specific studies on acne or any other testimonials to support our experience. I do not want to advertise on your blog site, so please contact me through email and I will give you the product name so you can conduct your own independent research.

Hi Seppo,
Have you heard of ‘acne practice’ before? If you haven’t, please google it. It seems very promising, the guy behind the work also puts hundreds of videos on youtube. If you have, what’s your take on this? Really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi Guys
This is one of the most popular Product out there but “BE AWARE” Proactive Is just a big company there customer service and return service is Horrible .I bought a Trail package With was very small portions and My face has more zits then ever it took me so long to clear up my face from this garbage product .On top of it they send me a another package without even me knowing and when i called to ask why did you guys send me another package and took $62 out of my account they said “you get automatically signed up for the this package when you order trail pack”.Isn’t that ridiculous so i have top send them back the package it cost me another $14 that they said they are not returning.SO if you don’t like the product they don’t care and they don’t care especially if you don’t like the product.
Actually just a Apricot scrub do the trick. This is just a Fancy name brand in expensive packaging.Don’t waste your money on this .

SECRET YOU’LL NEVER KNOW
SEE, I AM NOT AGAINST ALLOPATHY AND THEIR TREATMENT METHODS,BUT I FIND NATURAL TREATMENT BETTER PERFORMING THAN THAT.ACNE SLOWLY TRIGGERS IN THE BODY SO AS THE REMEDY(NATURAL) ALSO WORKS SLOWLY(3 DAYS TO 4 WEEK).
GENERALLY PEOPLES PH LEVEL IS B/W 4 -6.5.(WHICH IS ACIDIC)AND IN BABY,PH IS FOUND TO BE NEUTRAL (7.0) AND THAT IS ONLY THE HEALTHY STATE.I AM STRICTLY FOLLOWING ALKALINE DIET,I CAN SEE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN MY 2ND DAY..I DRINK LEMON JUICE REGULARLY EMPTY STOMACH IN MORNING
PEOPLE HAVING ULCERS SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS.HEY LEMONS ARE ALKALINE WHEN DIGESTED,AND ACIDIC WHEN APPLIED TROPICALLY

Purchased the product for my son and now they continue to charge my credit card every month without my authorization. Be careful they do not post that once your credit card information is released they will continue to withdraw from your account.

Previously, I used soap and I would get breakouts occasionally. Then I tried Neutrogena which made me break out badly and I stopped using it after a week and went back to soap. Then I did some research online and decided to try Lady Soma’s Antioxidant Berry mask and what a great purchase.

Once per day, I have been using Lady Soma’s Antioxidant Berry mask and it has been great to me. It has not only prevented breakouts, but it is also clearing out the little white heads that were on my forehead (I have oily skin) and blemishes. It’s not a harsh product either and feels rather mild. I can see why everyone loves this mask!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP. I’m always trying to find the best solution to treat my acne, but never know which direct to take. You answered a lot of my questions about different products & I very much appreciate your honesty. Acne treatments are a highly lucrative business & I never know which one is ripping me off or telling me the truth behind their products. Again thank you for all the helpful information.

Yeah, product quality aside, Proactiv is definitely a pain to order. Their “auto refill” program is a pain to cancel. When I signed up, I kept getting billed non-stop, almost had to close my bank card just to stop the payments from coming through… The only thing harder to cancel for me has been XBox live! lol That aside, the product is alright — but I think you can find better for the money.

sanddy @ 5:45 pm #

@Sonal: please don’t take it go to Ur dermalogist and take accuten and dont use oil base cream it help to increase your acne

Vicky @ 6:15 pm #

Proactive didn’t help me at all. I used if for a few months and nothing changed. I tried it again a few years later, I am now in my twenties and still nothing has changed. Also, their costumer service reps are really rude and not helpful. I paid my balance and I still got bills after. I called and they told me that the agent didn’t click the little box so it didn’t go through. Ok, so you didn’t do your job and now I have to go out of my way to prove I paid it by faxing or mailing my bank statement. Never again!

PROVEN Long term effects of ACCUTANE “There have been several cases of development of severe accutane side effects years later, reported by patients. Among these, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract are the most prominent and common ones. A majority of people using accutane have complained of suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, and variations of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, etc. Accutane long term side effects also include damage to the liver or development of liver disorders. Liver failure, live damage, jaundice, etc. are some of the observed accutane side effects years later after taking the drug. If you wish to know what are the accutane side effects for women, then note that the long term side effects of this drug are specifically observed during pregnancy. Miscarriage, birth defects, etc. are some of the complications that can develop while taking accutane during pregnancy. Retardation of growth, mental retardation, etc. are also some of the complications observed in babies if the mother takes accutane during pregnancy. In most of the cases, younger women are asked to give it in writing that they are responsible for the usage of the drug, before they are prescribed accutane. On the other hand, accutane side effects for men include erectile dysfunction, inflammation in joints, etc. Apart from the above mentioned ones, if you are wondering what are accutane side effects years later, then here is a list of a few more potential side effects that may show up only much later. Decrease in bone density Hair loss Decreased night vision Inflammatory bowel disease Arthritis Depression, bordering on suicidal thoughts Dry skin Nasal/rectal bleeding Although one of the best acne treatments available today, accutane has numerous side effects, with having suicidal thoughts being the most dangerous one.”
